It’s impossible to discuss track and field without mentioning her name. From her first appearance on the international stage at the Beijing Olympics in 2008, to her most recent athletic performances at the Tokyo Olympics, 2022 World Athletics Championships, and Diamond League Circuit, Fraser-Pryce has proven that age is just a number and women truly can do anything as she gets closer to her goal of breaking the 10.60s barrier.
Winning Against Time
Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce is an elite champion with five World Championship titles in the 100m, in 2009, 2013, 2015, 2019, and 2022. She is the only sprinter, male or female, to achieve this feat. She also won gold in the 200m and 4x100m relay at the 2013 World Championships in Moscow. In total, she has accumulated 14 World Championship medals (10 gold, 4 silver).
