The Epicenter: Women’s Global Sports Summit
In August 2026, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce joined leaders across the global sports industry at The Epicenter: Women’s Global Sports Summit, presented by Nike in Portland, Oregon. She participated in the panel, “Built for Her: Rewriting Human Performance,” exploring how women-centered research, health, performance science and investment are reshaping the future of sport.
Drawing on her 18-year career at the highest level of professional athletics, Shelly-Ann shared her perspective on challenging long-held assumptions around women, motherhood and athletic longevity, as well as the importance of equipping the next generation with greater access to knowledge, resources and opportunity.
A central theme of her remarks was the need to “invest globally and invest earlier.” Shelly-Ann spoke about the power of sports diplomacy and the opportunity for brands, investors and sports leaders to look beyond established markets and invest in the ecosystems that allow female talent to develop—from grassroots programming and coaching to education, sports science, nutrition and professional pathways.
Reflecting on her own journey from Jamaica to the global stage, she challenged industry leaders to consider women’s sports not simply as a growing commercial market, but as a global movement capable of connecting cultures, strengthening communities and expanding who has the opportunity to become the next generation of champions.
